Q.What is the difference between HTML5 and Responsive templates?

Responsive design templates differ from HTML5 templates in that they change layout to match the width of the screen on which they're being viewed. If you take a responsive website page and make the browser wider or narrower, the items on the screen are automatically rearranged so that the website remains usable without side-to-side scrolling. This makes them highly usable on screens with narrower widths, such as smartphones and tablets. By contrast, HTML5 templates have a fixed width. When they are accessed on a mobile device, the website redirects to a separate mobile site.

Responsive templates have multiple advantages over HTML5, including ease of design (you only have to set up one site, not two!), and user experience (your website maintains a coherent, consistent, well-polished look regardless of whatever device they're using). They also have a distinct advantage in search engine optimization, largely because the desktop and mobile sites are not treated separately.

In general, we strongly recommend selecting a responsive template. However, please be aware that if you are switching between HTML5 and responsive templates, some custom HTML code (such as in custom pages or customizable boxes) may not work as intended, and any CSS edits will be lost.
